About Steve
Steve Oldale became interested in Chiropractic through his family’s experiences with back pain. They sought out a local Chiropractor in Plymouth who succesfully kept them going for various complaints such as tennis elbow and sciatica. It was a natural progression for him and he soon found that the philosophy of treating the cause of problems rather than medicating seemed to be a logical way of dealing with pain.
He applied to the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic (AECC) in Bournemouth in 1989 and after a gap year and 4 years training graduated in 1994. He then worked in Kent for a year, and then 5 years in Hitchin before moving back to Poole in Dorset where his wife grew up. In 1999 Back In Form Chiropractic Clinic was opened. In 2001 Steven also took up part-time clinical tutoring at his Alma Mater the AECC.
His interests are any joint or musculo-skeletal problem, but especially the rehabilitation and prevention of back pain and any other joint muscle or nerve problems for matter. His main aim is always to give his patients the best chance of helping themselves and this will hopefully go a long way to making that more of a reality.
Over the years Steven has directly helped thousands of patients, helped guide several hundred students and therefore indirectly helped many more patients. Take a look at some of the comments he has recieved about his work. He believes that everyone has the right to know how to treat themselves, or if they can’t what steps to take to deal with a problem once it does arrive. He also strongly believes more should be done to educate people to prevent problems in the first place.
